Description
We look to all types of examples from the Old and New Testaments, from secular and religious history, and from our contemporary environments…But when looking at the ultimate example, Jesus, we see One who started His earthly life in obscurity. His ministry here was that of a humble servant as well as the Savior.
Some men of God, having served in obscurity, may someday be elevated to prominence in their ministry, by the grace of God. Other men of God, still and ever serving their Lord, may continue ministering in obscurity, by God’s will. But all can rejoice in the Lord, if they have learned, in whatsoever state they are, whether obscure and abased, or recognized and abounded, therewith to be content.
