Keeping up your eyes so fresh therefore clear, around the cheap

Whipping past low hanging branches in the trees, ice, snow, and also the occasional yard sale can wreak havoc on your chosen gear. But while a couple of small dings on your own helmet won’t render it unusable, scrapes and scratches in your goggle lenses can impair you vision and aren’t cheap to replace.

Nothing stings like since first nick on your brand new set of goggles—especially if the consequence of bonehead move like dropping your goggles inside the car park gravel (guilty!). Even moto tear offs lens protection beats in your gear also it doesn’t stay new for long.

Last season, I tried to take some protection precautions for my newest set of goggles and gave the Ripclear Goggle Lens Protectors a whirl. The anti-scratch, anti-fog plastic film took my lens as easily because the screen protector on my small phone. There’s no cutting or sizing to fit since the lens protectors are sized small, medium, large, and kids, and there’s a cut made for either flat or spherical lens shapes.

The super-thin plastic film doesn’t go all the way to the edge of my goggles, but didn’t hinder my vision. One protector survived a complete season of deep tree skiing and parking zone mishaps without peeling up across the edges. I used the included microfiber cleaning cloth and cleaning wipes after each day to hold my lens clean and clear. When the lens protector did suffer a number of scratches, it peeled of just as easily mainly because it was applied. I slapped another one back on my untarnished lens (it arrived a 3-pack) and I’m fine again next season. Pretty simple, pretty genius.
