It is my privilege to help perpetuate the preaching of one of the greatest pulpiteers of our generation. The sermons in this volume were preached in Revival Fires! Conferences and have been run in the Revival Fires! newspaper during the last 12 years. Brother Hyles and I preached back to back approximately 300 times and I heard him hundreds of times when I was not on the program. In my opinion, he was the most anointed preacher of our generation. I have therefore called this set of books He Was Anointed With Fresh Oil. He was my favorite preacher and his sermon "Fresh Oil" was and is my all time favorite sermon. I first heard it at Pastors' School in 1977, and God broke my heart with conviction and set me on a quest to get the power of God on my life. In 1988, when he and I began preaching together in Revival Fires! Conferences, the first sermon I requested him to preach was "Fresh Oil."
