"So often we as Christian ladies think that we have to be constantly doing things — running to and fro — be involved in everything we are asked to join. We have a hard time using the word “no.”

We have heard much about the Proverbs 31 virtuous woman who seemed to never stop and have forgotten that she was just as human as we are human. Although that passage in Proverbs does not mention her standing still, she must have! In order for her to have everything that organized and her family so well cared for, she must have taken time out to stand still and listen to her Lord. Only a woman who spent time standing still with her Lord would be called blessed by her husband and children.

Think about it! If we are on the go 24/7 as it appears in Proverbs 31, we would fall over in a heap from exhaustion. I don’t know about you but when I don’t stand still with Him each day, my busy days are disastrous."
